Please read this. This document was prepared to reflect how we actually operate and to follow current industry practice. It is not legal advice, and we are not a law firm. Before this is relied on, it should be reviewed by an attorney licensed in Indiana and in the states where we sell, because privacy and telemarketing rules differ by state and change often.
This is our written do-not-call policy. We keep one as a matter of company policy and publish it in full rather than on request, because the simplest way to prove how we handle this is to show you.
We do not make sales calls
This is the part that matters most, so it comes first. We are an inbound business. Customers reach us because they chose to - they saw an advertisement, or found the site, and rang the number. We do not run outbound sales campaigns, we do not cold call, and we do not buy lists of people to ring.
There are exactly four times your phone will ring with us on the other end:
- You asked us to call you back - you booked a time, or asked us to ring when something changed.
- You called us and we missed it - you rang and did not get through, so we return the call. We open by telling you that is why we are ringing.
- You have an order with us - confirming an installation window, chasing the engineer, sorting out something that went wrong.
- You asked us a question we had to go and find out - we ring back with the answer.
If you get a sales call from someone claiming to be DreamCore Smart Connections and none of the four above applies to you, it was not us, and we would like to know about it. Details are at the foot of this page.
How to stop us calling you
Any of these works, and none of them requires you to explain yourself:
- Tell the agent on the call. Say "put me on your do-not-call list". The agent will do it before the call ends. They will not argue, and they are not permitted to try to talk you out of it.
- Call and ask to be added.
- Email info@dreamcoresmartconnections.com with the phone number you want removed.
- Write to us at 6810 Salge Drive, Fort Wayne, IN 46835.
Please give us the exact number you want removed. If you have more than one, tell us all of them - we cannot guess which numbers belong to you.
What happens then
| Step | When |
|---|---|
| Your number is recorded on our internal do-not-call list | Immediately, on the call or on receipt |
| The request takes effect across our systems | No later than 10 business days, and in practice the same day |
| How long it lasts | Permanently. We do not expire do-not-call entries. |
A do-not-call request does not stop us contacting you about an order you have already placed - for instance to confirm an installation window. If you want that to stop too, tell us and we will note it, though it may mean we cannot complete an order in progress.
The National Do Not Call Registry
The National Do Not Call Registry exists to stop unwanted sales calls. Because we do not make them, we have no calling lists to screen against it - the only numbers we dial are ones that rang us first or belong to a customer with an order in progress.
This is a deliberate statement rather than a technicality. If we ever begin outbound sales calling, we will register as a seller, screen every list against the national and applicable state registries on the required schedule, and update this page before the first call is made, not after.
Whether or not you ever hear from us, you can add your number to the national registry, free, at donotcall.gov or by calling 1-888-382-1222 from the number you want registered. That covers every telemarketer in the country.
How we call
- Hours. We call only between 8:00am and 9:00pm in your local time zone, not ours.
- Identification. Every call transmits a working caller ID showing our name and a number you can call back. The agent identifies themselves and DreamCore Smart Connections at the start of the call.
- Recording. Every call is recorded and we announce it before anything else. Twelve states require all parties to consent: California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, Oregon, Pennsylvania and Washington. If you do not want to be recorded, say so and we will end the call.
- No pretending. Our agents do not claim to be a provider, and do not claim to be calling from one. We are an independent authorized retailer and they will say so.
Consent
Where consent to contact you is required, we obtain it from you directly and we keep a record of when and how it was given. We do not buy consent from lead brokers or treat consent given to one company as consent given to us. Consent obtained on a recorded call is evidenced by that recording.
You can withdraw consent at any time, by any reasonable means, including simply saying so on a call.
Our people
Every agent is trained on this policy before they take a call, and retrained if anything changes. Agents cannot remove a number from the do-not-call list, and calls are monitored for compliance. Failing to honour a do-not-call request is treated as a serious disciplinary matter, not a performance note.
Records
Do-not-call entries are kept permanently - we never expire them. Consent records and call recordings are retained for at least five years.
If we get it wrong
If you asked us to stop and we called anyway, we want to know, and we would rather hear it from you than from a regulator. Call or Email info@dreamcoresmartconnections.com, tell us the number and roughly when the call came, and we will find the recording, work out what went wrong, and tell you what we found.
